The red exponential curves were generated using the inverse of the mean-of-means for the nine distributions shown in green for the Congresses during the twentieth century, 1900 to 1980. Rate parameter values for the growth and senescence exponents of the House were 0.141 and 0.136, respectively, and for the Senate were 0.111 and 0.101, respectively
